Our mission at Residential Recovery and Re-Entry, Inc. is to provide safe, temporary and affordable housing for individualsin transition while inspiring faith, hope and love for community in route to building strong, stable families and communities.
About Us
In efforts to build stronger communities, basic needs must be met, shelter being among those. Those persons finding themselves amidst the ever so changing circumstances of life such as divorce, incarceration, addiction/recovery, among many others. These situations must be supported by wholesome environmental conditions conducive to a healthy, safe transition and re-entry into society as productive self-sufficient citizens.
RR&R, Inc. is aimed to provide support services and resources for those in transition. We intend to meet people where they are, offering life skills, structure, guidance and training. This will assist in alleviating and bridging the gap between instability and stable housing in a flexible, timely manner that is individually tailored. "There is no place like home," and everyone deserves a place of sanctity and peace of mind; a place of rest for our physical bodies, undisturbed in preparation for the progressive and continuous tasks of life. We must revitalize our communities by restoring hope in the people within them.
Meet The Board
Hue "Melody" Johnson is the founder and acting President of RR&R, Inc., a Jacksonville, Florida native and a 13 year member of the Historical Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. She is currently employed as a Peer Support Specialist for substance abuse and mental health patients. Mrs. Johnson holdsa MS in Criminal Justice, minor in Social Welfare and is a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS), Life Coach and Home Rehabilitator, under which several homes have been successfully rehabilitated. She also serves as a Board Member for the non-profit organization, United Community Investors.RR&R, Inc., was established within the noble notion that everyone needs a little help sometimes and having a place to call home. This is essential to the revitalization of our families and communities. As a private citizen with a passion and desire to instill hope, love and community, striving to make the world a better place to live, one neighborhood at a time.
A few of the highlights in her career include: serving as a Community Organizer for Northwest Jacksonville Community Development Corporation, Working with the Department of Children and Families to ensure Jacksonville's children were not abused or neglected, and as a long term Educator transforming the lives of Duval County's youth. Her Educational Portfolio includes a Bachelors in Political Science from Florida A&M University, a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Brandi is currently a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church where she serves with the Employment Services, Toastmasters and Public Policy Ministries. In her time of leisure, she frequents museums, volunteers, and attends cultural festivals. As a seasoned Public Servant, Brandi strongly believes that one of the greatest investments is in oneself, and thereby, she looks forward to working collaboratively with Residential Recovery and Re-Entry Incorporated, in efforts to ensure the residents of Jacksonville are equipped with the skills they need to give them a fair chance as they re-enter into society!
